Le dimanche 14/09/08, il y a le meeting Ford à Landgraaf en Hollande, c'est près de Maastricht. Quelques pumistes font le déplacement, j'irai aussi accompagnée de Mustang.

Si parmis vous il y a des motivés (allez au moins ceux du nord), on peut se donner rendez-vous le jour même ou la veille (pour une petite virée belge Smile

), il y a un Etap Hotel près de chez moi et c'est à 30min du meeting.

Now in its 15th year, this years European Ford Event promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The XR/RS-club of Holland will once again be holding their huge XR/RS-show on September 14th 2008.

After several successful years at Baarlo Speedway Track, and at Sevenum, both near Venlo, the show moved south in 1999 to the large Sports Stadium at Landgraaf.

The Show

There is usually an attendance of over 3000 vehicles, with Ford clubs from all over Europe, and it is an opportunity to see all the stuff you have never seen before. RS2600’s, 2-door Sierra XR, Taunus, German Spec RS1600i’s, etc, etc. Dutch insurance rules allow any modification except bhp at no extra cost, so they are into customizing / modifications in a big way. UK Fords have taken many of the honors in the concours, so if you have a tidy motor, get it entered. They prefer totally original, even with the odd scratch, rather than mint but restored. And you don’t need the RSOC logbook. The XR/RS-club traditionally run sprint events down the track all day. Anyone can participate. Especially the sprint-races are favoured by all Ford-fans and are a guarantee for a lot of spectacle and quite a few embarrased drivers ... !

With the meeting being a 1-day event, the Saturday is normally "Nurburgring-Day" for the RSOC-members who come over to Holland for the weekend.

This legendary circuit (over 14 miles long) is just a one hour drive away from Landgraaf.

The XR owners club shall be there like every year and shall display there selfs on the Club-Lane!
